Past simple tense.

It is a verbal time in wich the action is finished.

The past simple in the regular verbs is used adding -ed in the finish. example: I started.

In negative is used with didn't. example: I didn't start.

In the interogative is used did + subject + verb. example: Did i start?

i think that the computers help to the books because read in internet is funny and i like very much the books and my hobbie are the computers.
